Herta Müller

Herta Müller is a German-Romanian writer, poet, and novelist . She was born on August 17, 1953, in Nițchidorf, Romania , and holds citizenship in both Germany and Romania . Müller studied at West University of Timișoara and has written essays, poetry, and novels .

Herta Müller's notable works include The Land of Green Plums, The Passport, Nadirs (autobiography), and The Hunger Angel . In 2009, she was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature . Müller currently resides in Romania .
