Overview

Glasgow is a city in Scotland's west-central region. Its location is 20 miles (32 kilometers) from the mouth of the River Clyde on the western, or Atlantic shore. Glasgow is Scotland's largest city. It is part of an independent council area within Lanarkshire's historic county. Most of the city's commercial and administrative structures sit north of Clyde. The territory covered by the Area Council is 68 square miles (177 square km). The city surrounds a large region of the lower Clyde valley. Its suburbs stretching into neighboring areas.

Coal mining, iron founding, chemical production, and shipbuilding arose in Glasgow early in the nineteenth century following the Industrial Revolution. World War I harmed the success of Glasgow's shipbuilding and heavy industry. The city's sector has since diversified.

Bristol is a city with flourishing yout culture and a welcoming atmosphere. It often receives accolades as the best city in United Kingdom. Bristol is roughly 120 miles west of London. This is about 190 kilometers away, at the confluence of the rivers. Avon and Frome. The Avon runs west of the city into the River Severn's estuary. Bristol is different from any other big city. It stands out with its great ancient structures, historic maritime history, and hip independent stores. Because the city is next to the countryside and the sea, there are plenty of enjoyable things to do all year. Bristol, England's West Country region, is home to some world's most famous graffiti art drawings. It also home to some of the country's most notable engineering projects.

Bristol's modern economy is based on the creative media, electronics, and aerospace industries. The city's pots have been transformed into the heritage and cultural hubs. The Bristol pound, linked to the Pound sterling, is the UK's most used community currency. Bristol is also known for its educational institutions. They include Bristol Grammar School, the Cathedral School and Queen Elizabeth's Hospital, founded in 1500s Colston's School 1708, and Clifton College, created in the Clifton neighborhood in 1862. The most famous church of Coventry was built after 14th century when the church of St. Michael was demolished. The national exhibition center was inaugurated in 1976 between Coventry and Birmingham and that was the major contribution of the key position of the region.

Culture

The famous poet known as Philip Larkin was born in Coventry and George Eliot made this city a model for her novel Middlemarch in 1871. Coventry city has remained the center of the famous Two-Tone Musical phenomenon. Renowned bands including The Specials and The Selecter belong to this city. The number one hit song "My Ding a Ling" was recorded at the dance hall of Coventry by Chuck Berry. The city is also the birthplace of Tom Mann. International jass program as well as a wide range of other musical events including Godiva Festival and Jazz Festival were held in Coventry that attracted a lot of visitors. Famous Coventry Godcakes is a regional delicacy. These cakes are still baked and were originated from 14th century. The city has a large number of education institutions but it remains best known for luxurious manufacturers from cars to chocolates (Cadbury). Motor companies fo Coventry have large contributions to the British motor industry. Interestingly, the city has got the designation of the City of Culture in the UK for a certain period. There is a museum which is well-known for its collection of British-made cars, bikes, as well as motorcycles.

Coventry city is very famous for its traditional metallurgical instruments as well as manufacturing industries.
