Jarosław Jarząbkowski known as pashaBiceps, is a 34 year old Counter-Strike player from Poland.
Professional CS:GO player. Major tournament champion (with Virtus.pro) in 2014.
Pasha started his career in Counter-Strike 1.6 and played for little-known Polish teams for a long time. However, in 2010 he became part of the legendary "golden five", where he was called to replace Luq, who left the team, who decided to end his playing career. Together with them, he became the world champion according to WCG 2011 and IEM 6. At the world finals, IEM 6 was recognized as the best player of the tournament. Pasha and the company faced financial problems more than once and were left without an organization more than once, which did not prevent them from continuing to win under the AGAiN tag.
With the transition to CS:Yaroslav's GO team still could not find "their game" and was on the verge of collapse. However, over time, having resorted to substitutions in the "golden composition", the pasha team finally started playing and quickly returned to the cohort of the best world teams. Since January 2014, the esports player has been representing the colors of the organization Virtus.pro . It is worth noting that pasha is considered one of the most recognizable players in the world. His streams collect over 25 thousand viewers, and donations sometimes amount to thousands of dollars. At the same time, Yaroslav is unofficially considered the strongest CS player on the pro scene and even created his own Internet movement - TeamBiceps, after his fans liked the postscript to Yaroslav's nickname - pashaBiceps. His constant phrase "my friend" has become a cult at all: it is often used by fans and pro-players. An incredibly kind and sympathetic person with a special Polish accent when speaking in English.

Twitch CEO on the Future of the Creator Economy – and the Challenge to Keep the Platform Safe
Emmett Shear, cofounder and CEO of Twitch, the fast-growing streaming service popular with gamers, discusses the unique dynamics of the creator economy, how it differs from gig and “W-2” work, where it may be headed, and the delicate balance platforms like his must find in creating a vibrant but safe streaming community.
Emmett Shear is cofounder and CEO of Twitch, the fast-growing streaming service popular with video gamers, which was purchased eight years ago by Amazon for nearly $1 billion. Emmett is also a part-time partner for the startup accelerator, Y Combinator.
Twitch has been in the news recently: It was the platform used by the alleged shooter of 13 people at a Buffalo grocery store to livestream his actions. The company says the stream was removed less than two minutes after the violence started, but, as Shear explained to HBR editor in chief Adi Ignatius, “there’s obviously still work to be done” to make livestreaming platforms safer.
Ignatius sat down with Shear in this episode of our video series “The New World of Work” to talk about:
Tactics and strategies for keeping platforms like Twitch free of racist, hateful, and abusive speech.
The present and future of the creator economy, which he says promises to be, for some, a more fulfilling alternative to not just the gig economy, but regular full-time employment.
Monetization, and how it works differently for small creators with 5 followers, and experts with 50,000 followers.
From his time at Y Combinator, the best pieces of advice he’s developed for young startup entrepreneurs.
“The New World of Work” explores how top-tier executives see the future and how their companies are trying to set themselves up for success. Each week, Ignatius interviews a top leader on LinkedIn Live — previous interviews included Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and former PepsiCo CEO Indra Nooyi. He also shares an inside look at these conversations —and solicits questions for future discussions — in a newsletter just for HBR subscribers. If you’re a subscriber, you can sign up here.
ADI IGNATIUS: Emmett, welcome to the show.
EMMETT SHEAR: Thank you for having me.
ADI IGNATIUS: I really want to talk to you about Twitch, how Twitch represents the evolution of the economy. I want to get into all that in a second. But before we start, it would be odd not to talk about the tragedy in Buffalo. The alleged perpetrator was initially trying to livestream on Twitch, and that has brought out criticism about whether platforms are responsible for the content that’s on them. I’d love to give you a chance to address that.
EMMETT SHEAR: It’s obviously a horrific hate crime. And that kind of violence, that kind of hate, white supremacy, racism, don’t have any place, I mean, really anywhere in our society, or especially on Twitch. And we’re working, of course, with law enforcement and taking every action we can find to respond to the tragedy. And we’re going to continue to invest heavily in ensuring the safety of everyone on Twitch. I think this is an example of one of those places where we’ve done a lot of work, but there’s obviously still work to be done.

The desire to study and preserve for future generations the identity and individuality of the Slavic culture, to contribute to the spiritual unity of the fraternal Slavic peoples – Russian, Ukrainian and Belarusian – prompted the scientists of Francisk Skorina Gomel State University initiate a proposal to create an International Association "Institute of Slavistics" as a form of cooperation between the universities and research institutions of the neighboring countries – Russia, Ukraine and Belarus. The relevance and the need to create such an Association is due to the fact that the unique material and spiritual culture of the East Slavic region has not yet been fully studied, and many ethno-cultural elements – historical monuments, items of traditional folk crafts and arts, rituals and customs, works of folklore, dialect names – gradually disappear because of the resettlement of a significant number of residents from the Chernobyl zone of Belarus Ukraine and Russia; moreover, the values of folk material culture are lost as a result of the destruction with the course of time. The doors of Francisk Skorina Gomel State University are wide open for establishment of contacts with everyone interested in higher education at our University.
