Takeoff was shot and killed in Houston on Nov. 1. According to multiple reports, the incident occurred at a bowling alley called 810 Billiards & Bowling Houston, when a dice game turned into an altercation and someone opened fire, fatally striking Takeoff and injuring two other people. Takeoff was reportedly struck in or near the head and was pronounced dead on the scene by paramedics.
