Video game company founded in 1985 in Las Vegas by Brett Sperry and Louis Castle under the name Westwood Associates . After a merger with Virgin Interactive , it was renamed Westwood Studios in 1992 . Westwood Studios was taken over by Electronic Arts in 1998 , and closed in 2003.
