Moneta

Moneta is a financial tool designed for merchants to issue spare change digitally to their customers. The company's goal is to establish the first service that enables merchants to collect payments in cash and return spare change digitally to help people save their petty cash globally. This is, in part, based on the company's opinion that decentralized currency is the future, and the company's aim to be the final frontier between physical and digital currency. To do this, Moneta provides a cryptocurrency wallet solution to allow people to receive their change in cryptocurrency.

Moneta is available for use with participating merchants, to allow users to pay cash, provide a phone number, and with the phone number the merchant can return the spare change digitally. This is to solve the problem of cash purchases, which account for 47 percent of all transactions under $10, of which 38 percent of that change going to waste. And this waste accounts for $10 billion worth of change is out of monetary circulation.

When using Moneta, users do not need to sign up or download, but rather they are automatically signed-up after the first transaction using Moneta. In the case of using Moneta, a service fee of 5 percent is charged when withdrawing to another institution.
