BEST - The Bitpanda Ecosystem Token was issued by Bitpanda in August 2019 through Europe’s most successful Initial Exchange Offering (IEO). More than €43 million was invested into BEST at the IEO.
From a technological point of view, BEST is issued on the Ethereum blockchain as an ERC20 token. An amount of 1 billion BEST was created (never to be increased) and 500,000,000 BEST was offered during the IEO, while the remainder is held by Bitpanda as company reserves. The raised funds are used to achieve Bitpanda‘s vision of democratising investments, to further grow the platform and to fuel expansion plans.
Like Bitpanda grew following the IEO, so did BEST. The IEO price started at €0.09 for public investors, and since then, Bitpanda built new features and is making holding BEST more and more attractive for a steadily increasing amount of Bitpanda users.
