The album is predominantly recorded in English, with Kaas performing English covers of well-known French hits. The album was less popular in the singer's homeland of France, and although it was certified gold, its sales were much more modest than on previous releases. In Belgium and Switzerland, however, the album managed to reach the sixth position[2][3].

The release of the record coincided with the release of the film "And now, ladies and gentlemen", in which Kaas played the lead role, and it was under the impression of the filming that she decided to record this album.
