The Biosummit goal is to provide a space for the global community of DIY biologists / community biologists / biohackers / biomakers and members of independent and community laboratories to convene, plan, build fellowship, and continue the evolution of our movement.

iGEM’s main program is the iGEM Competition, an annual, world wide synthetic biology event aimed at undergraduate university students, as well as high school and graduate students. The iGEM Competition gives students the opportunity to push the boundaries of synthetic biology by tackling everyday issues facing the world. Multidisciplinary teams work together to design, build, test, and measure a system of their own design using interchangeable biological parts and standard molecular biology techniques. iGEM teams work inside and outside the lab, creating sophisticated projects that strive to create a positive contribution to their communities and the world. Every year nearly 6,000 people dedicate their summer to iGEM and then come together in the fall to present their work and compete at the annual Giant Jamboree.

SEED focuses on advances in science, technology, applications, and related investments in the field of synthetic biology.

London Calling is a 3-day conference dedicated to nanopore DNA/RNA sequencing. Register to hear from a host of international speakers on topics including; structural variation, transcriptomics, assembly, methylation, targeted sequencing, metagenomics, and more.

The conference also provides the opportunity to network with delegates from around the world and get hands on with the technology during interactive sessions.
