Sharp history of success

As in the history of other companies, everything started small. Tokuji Hayakawa rented office space of very modest size in the center of Japan's capital. The scale of work has increased year by year. At first, the company owner came up with a western-style belt buckle and called it "Tokubijo".

Then Tokuji Hayakawa received a patent and set up the production of a mechanical pencil in a nickel case. And it was presented as eternally sharp and did not need sharpening.

Unfortunately, in 1923 Tokuji Hayakawa's pencil factory burned down in a fire. Instead of restoring the enterprise, he built a new pencil factory and named it Hayakawa Metal Works.

The company is located in Osaka, in the city where the headquarters of Sharp Corporation is still located. However, the company became famous not only for pencils at that time. One day, Hayakawa saw a radio set in a store and got excited about making radio equipment.

And in the same 1925, he immediately released the first Sharp radio. In the production of radio receivers, the company has made enviable success.

Almost simultaneously, the company began producing televisions and the first TV model labeled Sharp TV3-14T appeared.

The 1950s also saw the production of branded washing machines and refrigerators. And in the sixties - microwave ovens.

Today, Sharp is a wide network of subsidiaries that are engaged in the production and marketing of products. There are also several large research centers and laboratories for the development of new technologies. The scope of production of the corporation is:
