The “future of work”—which can be described as the combination of the gig economy and artificial intelligence technology, freelancers and automation—is a partially incorrect name for the phenomenon it represents. In reality, it does not describe activities that will take place in some nebulous “future” time period. The future of work is being built right now by forward-thinking startups and market-leading companies.
