History:
During the Wimbledon tennis tournament, one of Ford's executives invited Ivan Ginyansky, owner of dealerships in Delaware and Pennsylvania called Winner, to represent the brand in Ukraine.
Mr. Ginyansky was not interested in starting a dealership, but he liked the prospect of becoming a Ford importer in Ukraine. Inspired by this idea, Ivan Ginyansky first came to Ukraine in 1991. It didn't take him long to fall in love with his country of origin (his parents were born in Ukraine and left in the 1930s).
In 1992 Winner has been appointed an official dealer of Ford Motor Co. in Kyiv and western Ukraine, shortly after the country declared its independence.
