Widener University

Widener University is a private organization founded in 1862, located in Chester, Pennsylvania, United States. It is an Educational Institute within the industries of education, higher education, and university. The university has a motto, "Mens Sana In Corpore Sano".

Widener University holds accreditations from the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, American Bar Association, Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) of ABET, Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, and is a Member of the Association for Continuing Higher Education. The university is affiliated with the National Collegiate Athletic Association, Council of Independent Colleges, and National Athletic Association.

In addition to its main campus, Widener University operates two subsidiaries, the Widener University Observatory and the Widener University School of Law. The institution has been granted one patent as of now.
