The first web browser was created in 1990 by Sir Tim Berners-Lee. It was called WorldWideWeb and was later renamed Nexus[3]. But the first mainstream GUI browser was NCSA Mosaic, developed by Marc Andreessen and Eric Bina. The source code for this one of the first browsers was used later in Netscape Navigator and Internet Explorer.
