Tory Patterson

Tory has led investments in some of the most successful companies in the sector. He is a former board member of Owl portfolio companies Degreed, DreamBox Learning (acquired by Evergreen), BakPax (acquired by Teacher’s Pay Teachers), Imbellus (acquired by Roblox) and LearnZillion (acquired by Imagine Learning).

Prior to Owl Ventures, Tory was a Partner at Catamount Ventures where he founded and ran one of the venture industry’s first education investment practices. There he led investments in education companies TenMarks (acquired by Amazon), MasteryConnect (acquired by Instructure), PresenceLearning (acquired by Bain Capital) and EdSurge (acquired by ISTE).
