Since the third halving cycle of Bitcoin in 2020, we have experienced one of the most profound changes in the history of crypto. DeFi was born in the context of the wider application of smart contracts. We saw the development and success of early DeFi protocols such as MakerDAO, Compound, Curve, Uniswap…etc. At the same time, we have also witnessed that more and more protocols have enriched and improved the DeFi ecosystem in continuous development.
We believe that DeFi is not only the future of crypto but also the bridge. It is the only way for people to truly freely control their private assets. Therefore, we decided to dive into this DeFi world.

Torches Finance
Torches Finance is a decentralized non-custodial liquidity protocol based on KCC（KuCoin Community Chian), where users, wallets, and dapps can participate as depositors or borrowers.
With Torches, users can:
1. Earn passive income by providing liquidity;
2. Borrow assets for trading or leverage mining;
3. Obtain NFT equity points through early participation;
4. Win extra revenue by becoming governance participators;
5. Leveraged mining, Genesis NFT, etc. will be coming soon
Also, asset security is an important task for us. Torches not only have multiple risk control measures to maximize the security of user assets. We also have a user-friendly liquidation system, setting different liquidation thresholds for the liquidity of different assets.

Why KCC(KuCoin Community Chain)？
We are very optimistic about the development of the KCC. KCC has the advantages of fast speed and low cost, which can maximize user profits and reduce on-chain losses. We have a close relationship with the KCC and we want to cooperate deeply with the KCC ecosystem in the future.
Our Team
We have more than 15 staff members all over the world, and half of them are developers. Most of us are senior practitioners of blockchain and have rich experience in technology development. Also, our core members were deeply involved in decentralized projects, we will show more in the next post.
