Tom Shadyac

Tom Shadyac, born on November 12, 1958, is an American film director, writer, producer, and screenwriter. He was born in Falls Church, Virginia and holds citizenship in the United States.

Shadyac studied at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and completed his education at the University of Virginia and the UCLA School of Theater, Film, and Television.

Tom Shadyac is best known as the creator of the Ace Ventura film series and for his direction in several well-known movies. Some of his notable works include directing Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, Bruce Almighty, and the 1997 film Liar Liar.
