Switcheo

Switcheo (SWTH) is the native cryptocurrency and governance token of Carbon, a layer 2 trading protocol powering cross-chain financial markets and infrastructures.

As a custom-built sidechain, Carbon adopts the delegated Proof-of-stake (dPOS) consensus mechanism built into Tendermint Core, and is secured by staking SWTH with a decentralized network of validators. In return for their bond, stakers earn rewards from network and trading fees.

The protocol is highly composable, versatile and secure, making it easy for developers to implement and scale any kind of decentralized application while breaking blockchain barriers. Carbon is interconnected with a growing number of Layer 1 chains including Ethereum, BSC, Neo and Zilliqa.
