Svein Rosseland

Svein Rosseland (March 31, 1894 - January 19, 1985) was a Norwegian astronomer and professor. He was born in Kvam, Norway and held Norwegian citizenship. Rosseland received his education from the University of Oslo.

During his career, Svein Rosseland had the opportunity to work with notable physicist Niels Bohr, serving as his doctoral advisor. He later passed away in Bærum, Norway on January 19, 1985.
