SpaceChain is a blockchain software company headquartered in Singapore, Singapore and founded in 2017 by Zee Zheng and Jeff Garzik. SpaceChain is working on creating a blockchain community-based space technology platform and operating system (SpaceChain OS) that allows blockchain integration with satellite infrastructure.

Introduction to SpaceChain.

The SpaceChain OS is a blockchain sandbox that allows space-based decentralized applications (dApps) development, testing, and deployment for dApps such as cryptocurrency exchanges, global real-time sensor arrays, secure data storage, and peer-to-peer encrypted messaging applications. SpaceChain OS is integrated with Qtum's smart contract platform and the open-source operating system developed by SylixOS.

History

On February 2, 2018 SpaceChain launched their first Qtum blockchain into space. In March 2018 the Spacechain OS and Qtum were successfully integrated, and in May 2018 the Spacechain OS was integrated successfully with Ethereum and Ethereum based decentralized applications.
