As CTO of Definitive Healthcare, Scott is responsible for the company’s engineering and product development, enterprise architecture, infrastructure, field support, and information security.
Scott has nearly 30 years of experience in software engineering, with a focus in healthcare IT. Prior to his role at Definitive Healthcare, Scott served as Senior VP of Engineering and Product Management at Evolent Health—building an industry leading population health and care management platform.
Prior to Evolent, Scott spent a decade at Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield where he led development of the Employer, Provider and Consumer Portals. Early in his career, he served in various hands-on engineering roles building enterprise systems in defense, telecom, and healthcare.
Scott holds an undergraduate degree in Economics and a master’s degree in Public Policy, both from Western Michigan University.
When Scott pulls himself out of the proverbial technology clouds, you can find him getting his groove on. As an avid music fan, Scott enjoys playing guitar with small groups of friends and attending any live music event he can get to. Scott also enjoys running, backpacking, and spending weekends at the beach.
