Ross J. Anderson

Ross J. Anderson was born on September 15, 1956. He is a mathematician and computer scientist known for his work in banking security, security economics, information policy, Serpent (cipher), University of Cambridge politics, and his book "Security Engineering". Anderson was educated at the High School of Glasgow, Trinity College, Cambridge, and the University of Cambridge.

His doctoral advisor was Roger Needham, and his doctoral students include Markus Kuhn, Robert Watson, and George Danezis.

Ross J. Anderson has received multiple awards and recognitions, including becoming a Fellow of the Royal Society, receiving the Lovelace Medal, and being recognized by the Royal Academy of Engineering.
