In the fourth quarter of 2020, sales of Roku devices increased 18%, to $178.7 million in the fourth quarter. Roku added 14.3 million active accounts in 2020, bringing total active accounts to 51.2 million. The increase was due to customers "cutting the cord" with cable companies, and people being home more due to the COVID 19 pandemic.
