Rippling is a San Francisco-based Software as a Service (SaaS) company that provides cloud-based HR and IT employee management solutions, including payroll, benefits, computer and software management, endpoint security, and more. Rippling can automatically add employees to the Gmail distribution lists, Slack channels, Box folders, GitHub repos and other apps, manage passwords and sign-on, and cut off access when people leave the company.

The company has the stated mission of stream lining human resource and information technology processes so that the company can gain more time to dedicate to its business. Rippling's platform is available via web browser or mobile application. For HR, the platform has payroll, benefits, HR software, and HR integrations. For IT, the platform offers provisioning, single sign-on, and password and device management.

The company raised $45 million in funding in 2019. Investors in the round include Kleiner Perkins, Mamoon Hamid, Initialized Capital, Threshold Ventures, and Y Combinator. This was a Series A funding round which followed one seed round.

As of October 2018, Rippling reportedly has over one thousand customers, earns revenue in the seven figures, and employs more than 40 engineers.
