Pindrop

Pindrop is a developer of a phone fraud detection and call center authentication platform intended to provide security, identity, and trust for phone and voice interactions. This platform includes identification, location, and authentication of phone calls from the call audio to help detect fraudulent calls and detect legitimate ones. Pindrop's solutions have been developed for the needs of banks, insurers, and retailers and use data extracted from calls to help improve the platform's ability to detect fraud and authenticate calls.

Pindrop was founded in 2011 by Dr. Mustaque Ahamad, Paul Judge, and Vijay Balasubramaniyan and is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, with an office in London. The company participated in the Flashpoint Fall 2011 cohort and raised an estimated $122,799,996. Pindrop has partnerships with Amazon Web Services, Verizon, Dimension Data, BT, Vodafone, Telefonica, Bell, CenturyLink, Aeriandi, Red River, Presidio, Five9, Avtex, Gigamon, Genesys, Carahsoft, and Telnorm.

Pindrop's platform helps call centers authenticate calls and privately connect with calls, both to increase call center experiences for customers and increase the security of those calls for the call center. Solutions offered by the platform include the following:

• Authentication services, which gives users the necessary data to authenticate customers and help businesses deliver faster and personalized contact center experiences
• Anti-fraud services, which offer users audio, voice, and artificial intelligence technologies with a risk database to provide protection across phone channels and for live call analysis
• IoT and consumer device implementation, which could include voice-based authentication for various services, such as unlocking a car or only allowing approved users to make requests for smart devices
• Mobile application voice ID, where it could offer an alternative biometric identification service for unlocking application services or mobile device services as an alternative to face or fingerprint biometrics
