Pavel Filonov

Pavel Filonov was a Russian poet, artist, illustrator, scenographer, and painter, born on January 8, 1883, in Moscow. He held citizenship in both the Russian Empire and the Soviet Union during his lifetime. Filonov studied at Moscow State University.

Filonov was known for his work in various genres such as portrait, universal flowering, self-portrait, and futurism. As an author, he wrote works including East and West, Eleven Heads, and Defeater of the City.

Throughout his career, Filonov held multiple occupations in the fields of art and literature. He passed away on December 3, 1941, in Saint Petersburg.
