Orson Welles

Orson Welles was an American theatre and film director, film producer, screenwriter, character actor, playwright, radio personality, actor, and theatrical producer. He was born on May 6, 1915, in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and passed away on October 10, 1985, in Los Angeles. Welles attended the Todd Seminary for Boys and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. As a citizen of the United States, his nationality was also American.

Welles was the founder of the Mercury Theatre and directed notable films, such as "Citizen Kane," "The Magnificent Ambersons," and "The Other Side of the Wind". He was also the author of "Journey into Fear". His works covered various genres like comedy, drama, spy films, documentary films, action films, and comedy-drama.

Welles had three children: Michael Lindsay-Hogg, Rebecca Welles, and Beatrice Welles. He was in relationships with partners Oja Kodar and Dolores del Río, and was married to Paola Mori. Over the course of his career, Welles received prestigious awards such as the Directors Guild of America Award, Honorary Academy Award, and Palme d'Or.
