The Swiss company was founded in 1904 by young watches Paul Katten and George Christine in the northern part of the country near the river Oris. Hence the name of the brand. In the process of its activity and development the master gained public trust with new developments and non-standard technical solutions. Since 1938, an integral part of Oris models has become an arrow calendar, and in 40-ies of the last century appeared an alarm clock with a reserve of a course in 8 days.
