Alongside her role as a non-executive director of the club – a position she has held July 2016 – Walder is also chair of Albion’s women’s and girls’ football club board.

Chief executive and deputy chairman Paul Barber said, “This a great honour for Michelle and underlines her commitment and knowledge of football, and the women’s game in this country.

“We are incredibly proud of Michelle and on behalf of our chairman, board of directors, and everyone at the club I would like to congratulate her on this appointment.”
