Marchenko Oksana Mikhailovna: famous TV presenter and wife of Viktor Medvedchuk

Marchenko Oksana Mikhailovna is the wife of a pro-Russian politician and godfather of Putin, who at the beginning of 2021 fell under the sanctions of the National Security and Defense Council for her involvement in the financing of Donbass terrorists.

Biography

Oksana Mikhailovna Marchenko was born on April 28, 1973 in the city of Chabany, Fastovsky district, Kyiv region.

Education

As a child, Oksana dreamed of working in a hospital. After graduating from eight classes, she entered the medical school. However, the dreams of doctor Marchenko's white coat did not come true. The mother of the future TV star gave birth to a son. Oksana had to return home and help raise her brother.

After the tenth grade, Marchenko decided not to connect her life with medicine, but to become a history teacher. To do this, she entered the Moscow Pedagogical Institute, which she graduated with honors in 1995.

Career

Even from the student bench, it became clear that Marchenko would not teach children at school, but would become a TV presenter. The path to television for Oksana was opened by a competition among non-professional presenters.

A 19-year-old student of the History Department of the Pedagogical Institute won it and was invited to work on the state TV channels Yutar and UT-1. Here, Marchenko was entrusted with hosting the Streaming Recents and Good Morning, Ukraine! programs. But soon after she got married and gave birth to a son, she left her job.

Since 1998, Marchenko has been on UT-1 again, where he hosts UTN-Panorama, the entertainment show My Professiya and the political program Chas. Two years later, Oksana creates the Omega-TV television company.

In 2003, Oksana initiated the creation of the Names program. It told the stories of famous personalities whose lives, one way or another, intersected with Ukraine. For the first two years, it was broadcast by UT-1, and then by Inter.

In 2007, the TV presenter's own show was released on the TET TV channel. The essence of the program is to help women in difficult situations. Then Oksana established a charitable foundation named after herself.

In 2009 and 2010, Marchenko became the host of the talent show "Ukraine Got Talent" and "X-Factor", respectively. Both rating programs were published on STB. In 2017, Oksana returned to Inter, where she became the host of Time to Build (an adaptation of the American show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition), and a year later she took part in Dancing with the Stars on the 1 + 1 channel.

Marchenko has repeatedly received television awards: Golden Pen for the Names project (2004), Teletriumph for both talent shows (2010 and 2011). In 2011, readers of the VIVA! recognized Oksana as the most beautiful woman in Ukraine.

The TV presenter owns the Harmony investment company. She acts as the ultimate beneficiary in almost hundreds of companies in various fields: construction, finance, agriculture, logging, media (including the 1 + 1 channel).
