Lappeenranta University of Technology

Lappeenranta University of Technology (LUT) is a public educational institute located in Lappeenranta, Finland. It was founded in 1969 and operates under the accreditation of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Finland. The university's motto is "Open your mind".

LUT focuses on education and research in multiple industries, including higher education, and university-level studies. It is also known by its Finnish name, Lappeenrannan teknillinen yliopisto.

The university is a subsidiary of the Helsinki Institute of Physics and is affiliated with the European University Association. LUT has been granted a total of three patents.
