Kings of Leon is an American alternative rock band from Nashville, Tennessee. It was formed in 1999 by three brothers: Caleb (vocals and rhythm guitar), Jared (bass guitar, backing vocals and synths) and Nathan (drums, percussion and backing vocals) Fallowill, along with their cousin Matthew Fallowill (lead guitar and backing vocals). The band was named after the members' father and grandfather, who went by the name Leon.
