Jia Zhangke

Jia Zhangke is a Chinese screenwriter, actor, and film director. Born on May 27, 1970, in Fenyang, China, Jia holds Chinese citizenship. He studied at the prestigious Beijing Film Academy.

Jia has directed several films, including "24 City", "A Touch of Sin", "Mountains May Depart", "Ash Is Purest White", "The Pickpocket", "I Wish I Knew", and the 2018 version of "Ash Is Purest White". Among his notable works, "A Touch of Sin" stands out. Jia Zhangke is also known by the Chinese alias 贾樟柯.
