Jaap Stam

Jaap Stam was born on July 17, 1972 in Kampen, Overijssel . He holds citizenship in the Kingdom of the Netherlands and is known for being a Dutch football player and manager . Stam is also known by the nickname "Rock from Kampen" . As a player, he primarily held the position of a football player , and as a manager, he occupied the role of association football manager . Stam's nationality is Dutch .

During his career, Jaap Stam received numerous awards and accolades. He was included in the symbolic team of Europe according to ESM (2) in the seasons 1999/2000 and 2000/2001 . Stam played for Lazio, where he won the Italian Cup during the 2003/04 season . He also played for PSV Eindhoven, winning the Dutch Championship in 1996/97, the Dutch Cup in 1995/96, and the Dutch Supercup in 1996 and 1997 .

As a member of Manchester United, Stam won the Premier League Championship three times (in 1998/99, 1999/00 and 2000/01), the FA Cup in 1999, and the Champions League in 1998/99. Additionally, he was part of the team that won the Intercontinental Cup in 1999 . Stam later joined Ajax, where he won the Dutch Cup in 2006/07 and the Dutch Super Cup in 2006 and 2007 . In the Netherlands national team, Stam was a bronze medalist of the European Championship in 2000 .

Jaap Stam was honored as the Dutch Footballer of the Year in 1997 at the VVCS-Profvoetbalgala . He was also named UEFA Best Defender of the Year in 1999 and 2000 and was included in the PFA Team of the Year in 1999, 2000, and 2001 . As a coach, he took part in coaching Ajax, which won the Dutch Championship in 2013/14 .
