The Human Protein Atlas consortium, funded by the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation is selected by ELIXIR as a European core resource. The Human Protein Alas integrates multiple omics technologies including antibody-based imaging, mass spectrometry-based proteomics, transcriptomics and systems biology. The three separate parts of the project are the Tissue Atlas, showing protein distributions across tissues and organs, the Cell Atlas, showing subcellular localization and the Pathology Atlas showing protein levels in relation to survival of cancer patients.
