Hong Kong Polytechnic University, officially known as The Hong Kong Polytechnic, is a public educational institute located in Hung Hom, Hong Kong. Founded on March 24, 1972, the university is part of several industries, including Electronic Design Automation, Education, Higher Education, and University.
The university's motto is "To learn and to apply, for the benefit of mankind", and it is affiliated with the Association of Southeast Asian Institutions of Higher Learning and the International Strategic Technology Alliance. Hong Kong Polytechnic University has received accreditation from the European Foundation for Management Development and the Education Bureau of Hong Kong SAR. The university is also known by its alias 香港理工大學.
