Henry M. Leland

Henry M. Leland (1843-1932) was an engineer and businessperson from the United States . Born in Barton, Vermont, he worked in various occupations before eventually founding two iconic automobile brands, Cadillac and Lincoln.

With a background in engineering, Leland contributed to the automotive industry. In 1902, he founded the Cadillac Automobile Company, which is known for its luxury cars. Later, in 1917, Leland established the Lincoln Motor Company, another renowned name in the realm of luxury vehicles.

Leland's contributions to the automotive industry were recognized when he was inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame in 2011. He passed away in Detroit on March 26, 1932.
