Lena Häcki (German: Lena Häcki; b. July 1, 1995, Engelberg, Obwalden) is a Swiss biathlete, participant of the Biathlon World Cup as part of the Swiss national team.

Career

He is engaged in the Nordic Engelberg sports club.

Junior career

The first international tournament for the athlete was the 2012 World Junior Championships in Kontiolahti, where Hekka's best result was 43rd place in the sprint. In 2013, at the Junior World Championships in Oberhof, she became 44th in the sprint, and in the women's relay she won a bronze medal as part of the Swiss national team together with Tanya Bissig and Sabina di Lallo. In 2014, at the Junior World Championships in Presque Isle, she was eighth in the sprint and pursuit.

At the 2015 Junior World Championships in Raubichi, Hekki was one of the fastest athletes, but due to poor shooting she could not compete for high places, the best result in personal sports was 13th place in the sprint. At the last junior championship for herself in 2016 in Keil-Gradishtey became a two-time silver medalist in the sprint and pursuit, in both races she passed ahead of the Swede Hannah Eberg.

Adult career

In the 2014/2015 season, Lena Hekki made her debut in adult competitions — first at the IBU Cup, where she became 33rd at the Beitostolen stage, and then at the World Cup. During the season, she gained a foothold in the first Swiss national team and in January 2015 for the first time took part in the relay at the World Cup. The best result in the first season at the adult level was the 12th place in the sprint at the Antholz stage. Also in 2015, the athlete made her debut at the World Championship among adults and took 28th place in the sprint.

The best result of the biathlete in her adult career so far is the 4th place in the pursuit race at the Ostersund stage in the 2016/2017 season.

In the 2019/2020 season, as part of the Swiss women's national team in the relay at the Hochfilzen stage, she won bronze for the team, giving out a brilliant race. At the Annecy stage, she finished third in the pursuit and won the first podium of her career.
