Grover is a Berlin-based subscription-based platform that is specifically designed for the rental of technology devices. It has partnerships with digital device distributors such as MediaMarktSaturn, Gravis, Conrad and Tchibo.
Users can sign up on the Grover platform as either a private customer or a business customer. After logging in, users can search for technological devices to rent. Some examples of devices that are offered on the platform include an Apple MacBook Air, Nintendo Switch Lite, Samsung Galaxy Phone, LG television, and DJI Mavic 2 Pro (drone). Users can choose to rent the item for a specific period of time, such as three or six months. The provider of the product may also have a minimum month rental, such as a 12 month minimum. Users have the choice to keep renting, return the product, or buy the product at the end of the rental agreement.
The platform is also available in some electronics retailers in Germany. It follows the same concept of allowing users to rent the electronic instead of buying it.
