Fortress Identity

Fortress Identity is a Miami, Florida-based developer of a multimodal identification security platform which uses multiple attributes to authenticate a user. It replaces passwords with secure multimodal and multi-factor identification, using an individual's unique human biometrics for secure identity authentication.Access to sensitive accounts and systems is secured by Fortress Identity multimodal authentication for reliability, efficiency, and simplicity. Fortress Identity was founded in 2016 and was previously called Fortr3ss Inc.

Fortress Identity's Biometric Authenticator offers user authentication with compound biometrics. Through the product, users can strengthen security, without passwords on mobile or web biometric authentication solutions. The product offers facial, voice, and fingerprint through an API and for a user's smartphone. Their in-browser enrollment and verification engine is integrated through JavaScript Library.

The Biometric Authenticator's RESTful Biometric API offers voice phrase biometric modality, facial recognition modality, authentication scoring, and spoofing scoring. Their mobile application integration offers voice token, voice phrase, fingerprint, and facial recognition (iOS only) for biometric modalities, as well as user enrollment and authentication. The mobile application can be delivered through a white label standalone for a company to individually brand.

Fortress Identity's Authentication Platform offers users a unified platform enabling verification of Government Issued Identification's from 195 countries and continuous Know Your Customer (KYC) features from beginning to end. The platform includes compound biometrics for authentication to eliminate passwords.

Through their onboarding authentication, Fortress Identity connects to multiple identity verification databases for fraud detection. OFAC verification, and anti-money laundering monitoring. The platform includes compared facial features, document transfers via XML or REST, programmable rules for multiple documents, computer and mobile IP and geolocation, network security checks, data source results from due diligence, user display customization, and a dashboard for data source selection.

Fortress Identity AD allows users to add active biometric security to their Microsoft Active Directory. It allows users to use multi-factor integration, including voice analytics, to their traditional password authentication. Fortress Identity AD offers users an Identity Dashboard to manage users. The platform can be used to control authentication and login's on users Windows computers; and can be installed on Android or iOS enabling the user to enroll their voice for biometrics.

Fortress Identity Citrix allows users to add multimodal, multi-factor biometric security to Citrix Workspace applications, including Citrix for Android, Windows, and Linux. The biometric authentications include face, fingerprint, voice, and passive biometrics. These passive biometrics are how users hold their mobile device, typing patterns, and swiping patterns.

Fortress Identity SDK allows users to add active and passive biometric user authentication to new or existing mobile applications on Android and iOS. The implementation includes multimodal, multi-factor user identification including voice, fingerprint, face, and passive behavioral factors. The platform can be implemented with or without traditional passwords.

Fortress Identity and Muxi collaborated in 2019 to develop a new naked payments solutions to blend face and voice recognition technology to identify customers at checkout counters. The system would require the customer to say a passphrase once it matches their face to confirm their purchases. Like other naked payment solutions, muxiPAY does not require users to have any cash or physical card, although it does require users to link their account with their biometric information.
