The organization was founded in 2004 by Sam Mathews and Anne Mathews and has offices in London, Berlin, Taiwan, Belgrade, Kuala Lumpar, and Tokyo. The company has won more than twenty championships across thirty different games.

Fnatic has teams from around the world playing games, including Apex Legends, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Dota 2, FIFA, Heroes of the Storm, League of Legends, Valorant, and Rainbow Six Siege. The company has more than thirty-five professional gamers in eight different game titles, more than one hundred employees around the world, and has raised $55 million. Fnatic partners with big-name brand companies like BMW, Jack Links, Monster, Bud Light, and more.

Fnatic's CEO is Sam Mathews, former chairman and founder of NEVERBLAND, a start-up studio that builds technology and digital product companies. The company also runs a digital agency called Sannpa for businesses interesting in esports.
