At the beginning of 2013 it became known that the former honorary president of Obolon Oleksandr Slobodyan creates a new team called Obolon FC (before August 21, 2020 FC Obolon Brovary). The new club has no relation to the old team – these are two different structures. The old club was a public organization, and this became Obolon Brovary LLC, where the founder and 100% owner is the OJSC “Obolon”
From the former Obolon in the new club remained only a doctor, administrator, masseurs and coach of the second team Oleg Mazurenko. From the players – several players of the second team, as well as experienced Andriy Kornev and Valeriy Ivashchenko who once played in Obolon. All the rest are graduates of SDUSOR “Zminna”. The head coach of the new team was appointed Sergei Soldatov, who worked before in the “change” with the graduation class, which formed the basis of the team “Obolon Brovary”.
In February, Obolon Brovary played its first friendly match against Bila Tserkva Arsenal – a victory of 2:1, then took part in two teams in its first tournament – the Memorial of Oleksandr Shchanov – 2013, and after months and a half started in the Championship of Ukraine among amateur teams.
In spring 2013, the club's management submitted documents to the certification Commission FFU for the status of professional, as well as an application for participation in the amateur championship of 2013. The first match in AAFU team played on May 1, 2013 against Avangard from Koryukovka, Chernihiv region (0:0). The first ball in AAFU scored Vasyl Biloshytskyi, it happened in the second round (08.05.13) in the match against Zori from Bilozir, Cherkasy region (1:1). In total, seven matches were played among the amateur teams of the “brewers”, which won one victory, four draws and two defeats.
