Denodo

Denodo is a Palo Alto, CA-based data virtualization company. Founded by CEO Ángel Viña in 1999, Denodo first began as a research project at the Universtiy of A Coruña in Spain. The project, led by then-professor Viña, was created to address projected increases in data collection among businesses. Viña recognized that with traditional data integration methods, data suppositories were likely to grow to an unsustainably large size. Denodo uses data virtualization, a data integration process that allows users to integrate data without replicating it. The company provides data access, data governance, and data delivery capabilities across enterprise, cloud, big data, and unstructured data sources without moving the data from their original repositories.

In addition to Viña, Denodo's leadership team includes Executive VP and CTO Alberto Pan, Senior VP of Global Operations Rocío Leal, and Senior VP of Sales Richard Walker.
