DEBORAH KARA UNGER

She is a Canadian actress.

She was born May 12, 1966, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Unger made her acting debut in 1989 in the Australian miniseries Bangkok Hilton (1989), alongside Nicole Kidman. Over the next few years she was active in films as well as on television. In 1993, she starred in the HBO miniseries "Hotel Room". Her breakthrough came in 1996 with a starring role in David Cronenberg's "Car Crash".

Unger went on to star in such commercially successful films as "The Game" and "Payback" in the following years. She received critical acclaim for her roles in "Keys to Tulsa" and "Salton's Sea."

In 2002, she starred in "Just Between Us," alongside Sophia Loren and Mira Sorvino, for which she won a Genie Award. Throughout the two-thousandths, Unger was active in films, playing both lead and supporting roles. In 2006, she played the role of Dalia Gillespie in the movie "Silent Hill", based on the popular series of computer games.

In 2007, the actress starred in the movie "88 Minutes" with Al Pacino. In 2010, she starred alongside Martin Sheen in the film "The Way."

In 2011, she first accepted a role in the TV series "Military Hospital," about the work of doctors during the war in Afghanistan in 2006. In 2012, she will reprise her role as Dalia Gillespie in the movie sequel "Silent Hill 2."
