Cova was a blockchain platform built on top of Ethereum as an ERC20 cryptocurrency token. It was a decentralized computing network platform for privacy-protected data that launched on June 20, 2018 and is headquartered in Singapore, Singapore.
The Cova platform offered data owners the opportunity to commodify their data by providing a method of specifying through "smart policy" how data should be packetized, addressed transmitted, routed and received. Smart policy is written in programming language and is enforceable by computer code. Examples of data protected and kept private by the Cova platform include: credit card numbers, CT scans, Snapchat photos, text messages, and GPS data.
