Clap Your Hands Say Yeah (sometimes abbreviated to CYHSY) is the musical project of American singer, songwriter, and multiinstrumentalist Alec Ounsworth, active since the early 2000s in and out of Philadelphia.

From the critically acclaimed, self-titled debut album released in 2005 to the most recent record, 2021’s New Fragility, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah have released a total of six albums as well as two records under different monikers, all characterized by an independent approach to music and its distribution. They’ve toured the world playing headline shows, renowned festivals, and solo house shows, and have sold well over one million albums worldwide.
