Abstract

We have identified a novel protein target which is specific to Pseudomonas aeruginosa (PA). Inhibition of this target will decrease PA virulence, restore the host immune response, and balance the microbiome in addition to inhibiting PA growth. In this project we will conduct a high throughput screening campaign to discover inhibitors of the target protein. Then we will assess in vitro potency and toxicity to select a top hit compound for in vivo studies during the Phase II.
