The history of brMalls began in 1949, through ECISA, where it developed activities in the civil construction sector, mainly in the construction of roads, and the like. A few decades later, ECISA entered the field of shopping center development and investment. In the 1990s, ECISA's real estate activities were transferred to other companies, named Egec and Dacom.
In 2006, GP Investimentos and Equity Internacional purchased ECISA, EGEC and Dacom, creating brMalls and it was listed on the IBOVESPA stock exchange under the name BR MALLS PAR ON and code BRML3, it is also listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the codes BRMLL and BRMSY . Since then, brMalls has made several acquisitions with the aim of expanding its participation in the segment.
They currently provide management and leasing services to 29 of the 31 shopping centers in which they hold a stake.
