Beekeeper is an information technology company offering an operational communications platform that is headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland and was founded in 2012 by Andreas Slotosch, Christian Grossman, Daniel Sztutwojner, and Flavio Pfaffhauser.
On April 15, 2016 Beekeeper completed a venture capital round with $5 million in funding from Fyrfly Venture Partners (lead investor), b-to-v Partners, Polytech Ecosystem Ventures, and several angel investors which included Ariel Luedi and Niklas Ostberg.
On March 14, 2017 Beekeeper completed their series A funding round with $8 million in funding from Keen Venture Partners (lead investor), Fyrfly Venture Partners, Polytech Ecosystem Ventures and b-to-v Partners. The company plans on using the funding for funding "fund aggressive U.S. and EMEA market expansion".
On September 14, 2018 Beekeeper announced expanding their series A funding round with $13 million in funding from Atomico (lead investor), Keen Venture Partners (lead investor), Samsung Next, Edenred Capital Partners, and Swiss Post.
On September 16, 2019 Beekeeper completed their series B funding round with $45 million in funding from hayer Ventures (lead investor), Swisscanto Invest by Zürcher Kantonalbank (lead investor), Atomico, Alpana Ventures, Edenred Capital Partners, Fyrfly, Hammer Team, Investiere, HighSage Ventures, Keen Venture Partners, Samsung NEXT, Swiss Post, and Swisscom. The co-founder and CEO of Beekeeper, Dr. Christian Grossman, made the following comments regarding the companies series B funding round:
