Baz Luhrmann

Baz Luhrmann is an Australian film director, actor, screenwriter, film producer, and writer. Born Mark Anthony Luhrmann on September 17, 1962, he hails from Sydney, Australia. Luhrmann is a graduate of the National Institute of Dramatic Art.

Some of his notable works include the films Moulin Rouge, Strictly Ballroom, Romeo + Juliet, for which he was the director, as well as The Great Gatsby (2013 film), which he founded and directed. Luhrmann also directed the 2008 film titled Australia.
